The Saskatchewan RCMP is investigating the murder of a 36-year-old man on the Waterhen Lake First Nation.
In a media release, the Mounties said officers got a call Saturday at around 4:30 a.m., about a man in medical distress at a house on the First Nation that’s located about 40 kilometres north of Meadow Lake.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. He has been identified as a resident of the Waterhen Lake First Nation, but police didn’t release his name.
The RCMP has determined the man was murdered and Major Crimes and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service have taken over the investigation.
Anyone with information or who saw anything suspicious on the Waterhen Lake First Nation in the early-morning hours of Saturday is asked to call the Meadow Lake RCMP at 306-236-2570 or their local police service.
