The Saskatchewan RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit has made another arrest in the investigation into the death of a Prince Albert woman near Maymont.
Police confirmed they arrested Cassidy Kiskotagan in North Battleford on Tuesday. She has since been charged with being an accessory after the fact, according to Thursday’s announcement.
On Oct. 20, Dustin Cookman-Watts, 25, and Melissa Kaponyas, 18, were arrested.
Cookman-Watts eventually was charged with second-degree murder. Kaponyas was charged with being an accessory after the fact.
Wendy Bird’s body was found along Highway 16 on the morning of Oct. 16 near the village of Maymont.
Kiskotagan appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on Thursday. The Mounties say they continue to investigate Bird’s death.
