Campers will find things a little smoother in and around Battlefords Provincial Park.
Construction is complete on $9.5 million worth of road improvements in the area.
The project includes almost 24 kilometres of paving on Highway 4 and Highway 204, as well as various roads, campsites and parking areas within the park.
“Battlefords Provincial Park is a popular resort for many families, particularly through the summer months,” Cut Knife-Turtleford MLA Ryan Domotor said in a media release. “These improvements will be very welcome for the thousands who visit annually.”
The government has other projects underway in and around parks around the province.
That includes a $2.2-million investment for shoulder widening and surfacing on Highway 38 near Greenwater Provincial Park. Work is expected to be completed later this month.
