A woman and a man are dead after a collision at a Saskatoon intersection late Friday night.
According to police, a semi pulling two loaded trailers and a Jeep Compass SUV collided at the intersection of Diefenbaker Drive and 22nd Street West shortly before 11 p.m. Friday.
A 59-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman were both pulled from the wreck by emergency workers at the scene and taken to hospital by paramedics, but both were pronounced dead, police said. The 27-year-old driver of the semi was unhurt.
Police are still investigating the crash, and said more details will be provided as the investigation progresses.
The intersection was closed Friday night after the collision.
