A day after the Saskatchewan Roughriders lost 32-17 to the B.C. Lions, the team announced it has released four practice roster players.
Wide receiver Dieuly Aristilde Jr., national linebacker Jared Beeksma, linebacker Keishawn Bierria and Canadian defensive tackle Alain Cimankinda were all released on Saturday.
Aristilde Jr. had appeared in one regular-season game for the Riders, not recording a catch on two targets. He appeared in both pre-season games for the Riders, hauling in two catches for 32 yards and a touchdown.
Cimankinda was released before training camp but was brought back two weeks ago due to many Riders being in COVID protocol. He appeared in the Riders’ 31-21 loss to the Toronto Argonauts on July 24.
Bierria appeared in two games for Saskatchewan, no recording a tackle in either contest. Beeksma did not dress for a game for Saskatchewan.
