Six people, including two youths, are facing charges of first-degree murder in connection with the death of 24-year-old Edgar Ratt of Bell’s Point.
Along with a 17-year-old girl and a boy of the same age, Cameron Ross, 23, Charmaine Charles, 21, Gracie Isbister, 20, and 21-year-old Katelyn Halkett are all charged.
All six are also charged with one count of breaking and entering to commit the indictable offence of mischief.
Gracie Isbister and the male youth also have been charged with uttering threats to cause bodily harm. The boy faces a further charge of wearing a mask while intending to commit an indictable offence.
Ross, Charles, Isbister, Halkett and the female youth were arrested between Sunday and Tuesday, but the male youth has not been found. An arrest warrant has been issued, but he can’t be identified because he’s under the age of 18.
The individuals who are in custody are to appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on Thursday.
The charges stem from an incident on July 21 when the La Ronge RCMP was called to a house just after 3 a.m.
Officers found Ratt injured in the home on Jack Bell Place. He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
