Saskatoon police are asking for help from the public as they investigate the disappearance of 48-year-old Dawn Walker and a seven-year-old boy.
They’ve been missing since Friday evening, and her red Ford F-150 truck was found by the RCMP at Chief Whitecap Park south of Saskatoon.
On Wednesday, police asked for help from anyone who may have captured surveillance or dashcam footage of the area around the park between 6:30 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday. Police also shared a photo of Walker’s truck for comparison.
Anyone with footage or information that may help the investigation was asked to contact the Saskatoon Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
Walker, an executive with the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations, has suffered domestic violence in the past, according to FSIN Vice-Chief Heather Bear. Speaking to media Tuesday, Bear said the organization believes foul play may have occurred.
A candlelight vigil was held for Walker and the boy on Tuesday evening.
