Saskatoon police ask for public’s help to find missing woman

The search continued in Saskatoon on Friday for a missing 53-year-old woman.

Search teams — including members of the Saskatoon Fire Department and the Saskatoon Emergency Measures Organization — are to be in the Rosewood area Friday and Saturday looking for Nuzhat Tabassum. They’re also to search bodies of water in the area.

Saskatoon police are asking people in the Rosewood neighbourhood as well as surrounding urban or rural areas to check their surveillance cameras for signs of Tabassum.

Investigators believe videos captured between 5 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Sunday could have vital information.

Anyone with information regarding Tabassum’s whereabouts is asked to call the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300 or, in an emergency, 9-1-1. Information also can be provided to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
