Blace Brown is back with the Green and White.
The CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders announced Tuesday they had re-signed Brown, a defensive back who was cut June 5 at the league’s roster deadline.
Saskatchewan also announced the signing of linebacker Justin Rice.
The 6-foot-0, 195-pound Brown played 11 games over the previous two seasons with the Roughriders, recording 22 defensive tackles, one special-teams tackle, one interception, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
Rice, a 6-foot-2, 225-pounder, played college football at Fresno State University (2016-19), Arkansas State University (2020) and Utah State University (2021).
In 14 games at Utah State last season, Rice had 124 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, 1 1/2 sacks, three interceptions and two forced fumbles to earn second-team All-Mountain West honours.
He began his career as a running back, starting one game at that position in his freshman season at Fresno State.
