A Humboldt company has been fined $80,000 in connection with a workplace incident in which an exploding oil barrel left a worker seriously hurt.
Brockman Enterprises Ltd. pleaded guilty to a violation of The Occupational Health and Safety Regulations in Humboldt Provincial Court on June 27.
The company was fined $57,142.86 and a surcharge of $22,857.14. Two other charges were withdrawn.
The incident happened May 11, 2020 at a worksite near Humboldt.
