The WHL’s Moose Jaw Warriors unveiled a new look Tuesday, honouring their close connection with the Canadian Forces Snowbirds.
The new logo features one of the Snowbirds’ CT-114 Tutors, which are based at 15 Wing Moose Jaw and carry out aerobatic demonstrations around the country.
“Over the years, the organization and the Snowbirds have built a strong relationship,” the Warriors said in a statement announcing the new logo. “Like 15 Wing and the Snowbirds, the Moose Jaw Warriors are a defining part of our city’s past, present, and future, connecting people across generations.”
Along with the iconic red Snowbirds plane, the new logo features maple leaves to honour the team’s Canadian heritage, a classic aviation-style typeface, and “hidden” hockey sticks in the plane’s wings.
