A number of drivers got tickets in Saskatchewan after failing to stop when the colour red was in their windshield.
SGI had a traffic spotlight on intersection safety throughout the month of January.
It said Friday there were 676 tickets handed out in January due to infractions at intersections.
There were 290 drivers who disobeyed stop signs, 200 drivers who failed to stop at a red light and 186 drivers who received tickets for other violations at intersections.
SGI also highlighted a number of other results from the traffic spotlight.
There were 200 tickets issued for seatbelts and child restraints not being used correctly or not at all, 403 tickets for distracted driving (including 331 for cellphone use), 2,932 tickets for aggressive driving and speeding, and 267 impaired driving offences.
It was the fewest impaired driving offences reported in a single month in the province since February 2019.
