Three people were arrested after police found nearly two kilograms of crystal meth in a Saskatoon house Tuesday night.
In a media release Wednesday, the Saskatoon Police Service said a 31-year-old man was arrested at approximately 11:30 p.m., near a house in the 2900 block of Cumberland Avenue South. As officers detained the man, they found a quantity of methamphetamine.
Investigators subsequently executed a search warrant at a house in the area and arrested two women. Police also seized 1,851.9 grams of crystal meth, three pounds of cannabis, $1,215 in cash, and cellphones, digital scales and other material consistent with drug trafficking.
The 31-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were charged with drug trafficking (methamphetamine), possession for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine), and possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000.
A 34-year-old woman was charged with possession of methamphetamine.
