The Saskatchewan Roughriders are bringing back a vital piece of their offence for the 2022 CFL season.
Star wide receiver Duke Williams is staying in green and white after signing a one-year contract extension, according to a press release from the team.
According to TSN’s Dave Naylor, the deal is worth $260,000, making Williams the highest-paid player at his position in the league.
After joining the Riders in October, the former Buffalo Bills receiver played four regular-season games, tallying 17 receptions for 285 yards, one touchdown and a 16.8-yards-per-catch average.
Williams continued to make a difference in the playoffs. In two games, the California native caught nine passes for 163 yards and a touchdown.
Williams could have become a free agent Tuesday.
