Decisions, decisions.
It’s amazing how games come down to just two or three huge moments and for the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs, there are one each that likely left a few wide awake all night after seeing the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals head to Super Bowl 56.
For the Chiefs, it was the final play of the first half with five seconds left. They needed a quick play for a TD and if it didn’t work, they’d have time for the field goal. Patrick Mahomes, however, got greedy and took too much time to make a decision. Time ran out. No points and, in a tie game, those points were crucial.
For the Niners, it was a fourth-and-two on the Rams’ side of half, with the lead, late in the game with the Rams lacking timeouts. The Niners punted on a drive that could have helped take complete control of the game.
And that’s why I love football. It’s tactical. It’s emotional. And the last two weekends have been full of incredible drama.
