The University of Regina Cougars are welcoming back spectators over the next two weekends, but only a limited number.
The U of R didn’t allow spectators in for events at the Centre for Kinesiology, Health and Sport or the Co-operators Centre in either of the past two weekends due to concerns over COVID-19.
The Cougars men’s and women’s basketball teams are to play home games on each of the next two weekends. The U of R men’s hockey team has a home series set for this Friday and Saturday, with the Cougars women’s hockey team scheduled to play at home on the Feb. 4-5 weekend.
In a media release Wednesday, University of Regina Athletics said all season tickets and single-game tickets already bought for this weekend’s games will be honoured.
A limited number of single-game tickets for this weekend’s contests will go on sale Thursday at 6 p.m., but only through the U of R’s online ticketing window. Tickets will not be available at the door.
Single-game tickets for contests slated for the Feb. 4-5 weekend will be available next week.
The basketball teams are to face the Manitoba Bisons this weekend and the Brandon Bobcats on Feb. 4 and 5. The men’s hockey team is slated to play the UBC Thunderbirds this weekend, with the women’s hockey squad to entertain Manitoba on Feb. 4 and 5.
