I’m out on the Aaron Rodgers drama for 2022.
I had enough of it for 2021. It started a year ago in the NFC championship game when he didn’t get the ball on fourth down and saw Tom Brady put the game on ice with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Then came the woe is me narrative and second-guessing of his coach. Then came the sources that maybe he’d rather host a game show. Then came the story that he wanted out of Green Bay. Then there was the talk he wouldn’t report to training camp and then … he was there. He was in Green Bay and life went on as normal until he became a face of the franchise for anti-vaxxers.
So I’m sitting out the drama this time. I’ll wait to find out where he’s finally made his decision before getting caught up in the headlines and rumour and speculation.
Rodgers has brought enough attention to himself and seems to enjoy being the focus of the attention despite his claim he’s being silenced.
It’s laughable — which I predict this off-season will be again surrounding Rodgers.
