While some believe it will be over for receiver Antonio Brown in the National Football League, the NFL has proven over and over that you can never say it’s over.
From videos of domestic violence to being a perennial problem player, NFL general managers and coaches have shown that talent will always trump personality.
Age may be a factor, as Brown is now 33 and will be 34 next season. But when you look at what he has put on the field in his time with Tampa Bay — 15 games, 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns — there is no denying the guy can still get downfield and make plays.
So while the debate is who is telling the truth between Brown and head coach Bruce Arians, two things will be true from with Brown’s statement from Wednesday night.
First, Arians already admitted he told Brown to get the eff out of here. And finally, “Once my surgery is complete, I’ll be back to 100% and looking forward to next season. Business gonna be BOOMIN!”
And yes, I do believe a team will be blinded by the talent, only to regret it 15 or so games later.
