Police and fire crews responded to a fire at an apartment building in North Battleford early Monday morning.
Battlefords RCMP were dispatched to the scene on the 1400 block of 102nd St shortly after 1:00 a.m.. Upon arrival, officers found the building fully engulfed in fire. Multiple local fire departments and EMS joined the North Battleford crews in responding to the incident.
Residents evacuated the building, including several that were taken to hospital with injuries. One social media video of the scene shows people being helped down from windows. Updates on their conditions are currently unavailable.
Police believe the fire may be suspicious and the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency fire investigators are now assisting.
