Drivers are being urged to avoid the 1800 block of College Drive after a crane hit the pedestrian overpass at the University of Saskatchewan on Tuesday morning.
In a media release late Tuesday afternoon, the Saskatoon Police Service said the westbound lanes on College will remain closed until further notice, so there will be two-way traffic in the eastbound lanes.
The pedestrian overpass also will be closed to foot traffic until further notice.
Police said the crash happened at about 9:30 a.m. The crane was being hauled on the back of a vehicle when it hit the overpass.
