A 24-year-old man is facing charges after three people were stabbed at a Saskatoon nightclub Saturday.
According to the Saskatoon Police Service, officers got a call Saturday at about 1 a.m., about an incident at a club in the 200 block of Third Avenue South.
When officers arrived, they found three people who were suffering from stab wounds. Two were taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was identified and found nearby. As officers approached him, they saw him toss what they later learned was a loaded gun. When he was arrested, he was in possession of cocaine, two cellphones, a large sum of cash and a knife.
The 24-year-old man is charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count each of possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession of proceeds of crime, and possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition.
