It’s Scottie Pippen’s turn to tell his side of the story and he can’t stop telling it.
Of course, he’s got a book to sell so Pippen, who used to shy away from the media, can be found on a weekly basis telling more tell-all details on why he has got the second-fiddle complex with Michael Jordan.
Let’s be honest, the ’90s Bulls dynasty was all about Michael Jordan. He’s the one that is the greatest of all time and he’s the one with the shoe and the brand and the ‘Be Like Mike’ campaign.
Meanwhile, Scottie Pippen is the Robin to Jordan’s Batman.
Now Pippen hasn’t been shy to take shots at the basketball icon. At times I’m not sure what to think. As a kid of the ’90s and a kid who had the Jordan poster in his room, I’m usually going to take Jordan’s side of an argument. So “petty” and “ungrateful” come to mind as words to describe Pippen’s campaign to chip away at Jordan’s mystique.
The documentary “The Last Dance” was an M.J. love-in. Pippen’s media tour has now turned equally as aggrandizing.
