A man wanted for murder in Regina has been arrested in Saskatoon after an armed robbery in that city.
The Regina and Saskatoon police services both issued media releases Tuesday saying 18-year-old Thomas Louis Bodechon had been arrested Monday.
The Regina police issued a warrant for Bodechon on a charge of first-degree murder in connection with the killing of Kade Luke Neapetung, who was found dead in a home in the 1000 block of Angus Street on Oct. 18.
The Saskatoon police said Bodechon was arrested after an investigation into an armed robbery that happened Friday.
According to Saskatoon police, officers responded to a business in the 2600 block of Broadway Avenue after a report that two armed men had entered the store, demanded cash and ran off.
After an investigation, officers went to a home on Rita Crescent on Monday. Members of the Guns and Gangs and Tactical Support units surrounded a garage behind the home and, after a small fire was set inside the garage, took Bodechon into custody.
He’s facing charges in Saskatoon of armed robbery, using a firearm while committing an indictable offence and possession of a firearm while prohibited from doing so.
He’s expected to be transported to Regina by the end of the week to appear in Provincial Court on the murder charge.
