Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka will finally go head to head.
The golfers made the announcement that they’ll be the headliners for The Match V in Las Vegas over the American Thanksgiving weekend.
It’ll only be 12 holes rather than 18. That may be a sign they think they can only stand each other for two-thirds of a round, and while the feud between the two softened with their cordial relationship at the Ryder Cup, I still want to see them square off.
Unfortunately this matchup is about six months too late. They completely missed the opportunity to strike while the iron and their tempers were hot.
This made-for-TV moment will likely be much ado about nothing.
What I truly would love to see is the duo matched up against each other for something that matters. I guess we’ll have to take a charity head-to-head match and just hope in 2022 they’ll be in a final pairing at a major for some real intrigue.
