Prince Albert RCMP is reporting a fatal vehicle collision involving a pedestrian that closed down Highway 2 north of the city yesterday evening.
According to a media release, the collision was reported to RCMP just before 9 p.m. Tuesday.
An orange SUV that was reported to police fled the scene before the police arrived and a second vehicle involved stopped and remained at the scene.
The pedestrian, an adult man, was pronounced dead at the scene and his identity was not confirmed. An autopsy will take place later this week.
The Prince Albert RCMP, Forensic Identification Section and the RCMP Collision Reconstruction along with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service are still investigating the incident.
