What could have been if LeBron James had chosen football over basketball?
It came up on the Manningcast for Monday Night Football where he actually disclosed the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks asked him to give football a shot.
I fully believe James would be an All-Pro tight end if he decided to play football. A) He’s an elite athlete. B) His size, hands and jumping ability … c’mon. Could you imagine the 6-foot-8 player going into the end zone against 6-foot-0 corners on a jump ball? I’m not sure anybody is able to handle LeBron.
They definitely couldn’t in high school.
Remember, James was an all-state football player in high school in the two seasons he played.
Big-name universities tried to recruit him but he had fallen in love with basketball.
He’d leave football behind and the rest as they say is history.
Although if you’re rewriting history and LeBron had put his mind into football, I’m guessing with his body type it could have been a different Hall of Fame career.
