Jamie Nye: Hanging out with the Mannings makes for a decent Monday night

The Manning feed is winning me over on Monday Night Football.

Eli and Peyton Manning can be found on TSN 3 on Monday night with various guests as they watch the game, break down strategy, tell some stories and crack some jokes.

It is a relaxed and fun way to watch a football game, if you’re willing to part ways with the traditional play-by-play man and colour analyst.

Peyton, especially, is spectacular in breaking down coverages in the moment and explaining what he’d be doing as quarterback in the moment. For football nerds, it’s incredible insight. For the casual fan, it might be a little hard keeping up.

But we also got a special moment of Peyton and Eli disclosing the paranoia of the New England Patriots and how far they thought the Patriots were going to spy. Yes, there were meetings among players in the showers, thinking their lockers in New England were bugged.

Now, if we can only get Rob Gronkowski as a weekly guest with the Mannings, it would make it that much better.
