Two decades ago, the twin towers fell in New York City in the worst terror attack on U.S. soil.
Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives, among them, many first responders.
In honour of 20 years since the September 11 attacks, Saskatchewan first responders will be honouring their brave colleagues who worked so hard to save lives but lost their own.
Regina Fire & Protective Services will fly their flags at half mast and observe a moment of silence in remembrance.
In Saskatoon, police shared a video online in honour of the anniversary.
20 years: remembering; reflecting.
“What we felt that one day, we know that there are people in the world that feel that every day – that they might not be safe”.
