The three firefighter paramedics are certified to the level of Primary Care Paramedic and licensed through the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics. They are trained and prepared for high-hazard emergency scenes.
“Our fire department responds to over 16,000 incidents annually, which is why these recruits have gone through the rigorous training necessary to be a part of Saskatoon’s city-wide emergency response. These recruits have demonstrated impressive skills and dedication and I congratulate them on their hard work,” Ralston said.
“Every time we welcome a graduating class to SFD, we’re furthering our commitment to providing the best front-line emergency care possible.”
The new recruits will begin their service to the city of Saskatoon and surrounding areas as early as Monday.
