I have no idea what it will be like to be back at Mosaic Stadium Friday.
The CFL is the game I grew up loving and there were some times when more than a few of us started to wonder what the future of this three down game was going to be.
Would the CFL die? Would they merge with the XFL and go to four downs? There was too much speculation and not enough answers over the last 621 days since the Grey Cup was handed out.
But last night we watched the game we love and tonight we’re back to watch the team we love. The team that connects urban and rural, the team that connects Saskatchewanians at home and Saskatchewanians who have moved to every corner of the world.
And for many it will be a reconnection to those football families that have been built over years and generations who haven’t seen each other since the West Final in 2019.
So, how will it feel to have this all back? I don’t know. We’ll all react differently but at the end let’s never take this great league for granted again.
