Saskatoon fire crews were busy battling a garage fire in Montgomery Place Saturday.
Crews were called to the 1500 block of Lancaster Boulevard around 12:30 p.m. as large plumes of black smoke could be seen across the city.
When crews arrived, they found a detached garage fully engulfed in flames, there was a risk of the blaze impacting a neighboring home as an above power line was arcing.
Five trucks, a battalion chief and a fire investigator at the scene were able to protect nearby properties before controlling the garage fire.
A news release from the Saskatoon Fire Department said the fire was brought under control 14 minutes after arriving.
One man suffered minor burns from the fire and was attended to by paramedics.
A fire investigator will determine the cause of the blaze and estimate the damage.
