A 25-year-old Saskatoon man is facing gun charges after an incident Friday in which a shot was fired from one car into another in the Sutherland area of the city.
According to the Saskatoon Police Service, officers were called at about 10 a.m., to the 100 block of 105th Street West for a report of a two-vehicle collision.
Police said all of the vehicles’ occupants were gone by the time officers arrived.
Police determined there was a dispute between people who knew each other in two cars. During the dispute, someone in a Pontiac shot into an Infiniti as the cars were being driven. The Infiniti then collided with a third vehicle.
One man was hurt, but police said his injuries were caused by the crash, not the shooting.
The 25-year-old suspect was arrested by the North Battleford RCMP in the area of Highway 16 and Lilac Road. He faces four gun-related charges and one charge in relation to the theft of a motor vehicle.
Police said more charges are possible.
