A Saskatoon woman is facing a number of charges — including sexual assault and sexual interference — in a case involving two small children.
According to the Saskatoon Police Service, an investigation by its Child Abuse Unit and the Internet Child Exploitation Unit resulted in the arrest of the 25-year-old woman.
On Jan. 11, police received a report about a child being sexually assaulted and images being shared on social media.
The abuse allegedly started in December of 2019. The victims are girls aged four and two.
The woman is facing charges of sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, committing a sexual offence against a child, attempting to commit a sexual offence against a child, bestiality, making child pornography, and distributing child pornography.
The woman was to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Tuesday.
