A 23-year-old Saskatoon man is facing a lengthy list of drug- and weapons-related charges after a police operation early Friday.
The Saskatoon Police Service says its Drug Unit — with help from the Tactical Support Unit — raided two locations.
At about 2:45 a.m., police executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 2300 block of Hanover Avenue. There, they found four long-barreled firearms, more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition, a conducted energy weapon, and three sets of brass knuckles.
Among the other items seized were 55 jars of cannabis-infused honey, 714 grams of marijuana, seven grams of psilocybin, an insulated grow tent with psilocybin being produced, 12 packages of edibles, $925 in Canadian cash and a small amount of foreign currency.
A 23-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were arrested. The woman later was released without charges.
At about 3:40 a.m., police raided a suite in a hotel at Highway 11 and Floral Road. A 57-year-old man was arrested and police seized 21 grams of THC packaged in 21 jars, other drug paraphernalia and a Dodge Ram truck.
The 23-year-old man is facing 19 charges. The 57-year-old is facing two charges under the Cannabis Act.
