Four men are facing a total of more than 40 charges in connection with an incident in which a woman was taken from her Saskatoon home Sunday night.
According to the Saskatoon Police Service, officers responded at about 11:15 p.m., to a house in the 200 block of Lenore Drive. There, they were told by a male resident that three men had burst in and threatened the man and a 42-year-old woman with guns.
The man was assaulted and the three men left, taking the female with them.
A few minutes later, police found the suspects’ vehicle at the intersection of Taylor Street East and Acadia Drive and performed a high-risk vehicle stop. Two men were arrested and the woman was found uninjured. A loaded gun and an Airsoft gun were discovered in the vehicle.
The third suspect hasn’t been found. All three are facing charges including assault, robbery and kidnapping.
Further investigation led to the arrest of a 49-year-old man at a home in the 3500 block of Taylor Street East. He’s facing one charge of conspiring to commit kidnapping.
Police said the victims and suspects are known to each other.
