Three men have been charged in connection with an incident in December that left a 14-year-old boy dead.
According to the Saskatoon Police Service, two male youths — aged 17 and 18 — have been charged with manslaughter, robbery and break-and-enter. They can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Paul Joseph Nicotine, 26, is facing the same charges, but he hasn’t been located by police. He also is wanted on other charges that aren’t related to the December incident.
On Dec. 7, the 14-year-old died after an altercation occurred at a home in the 400 block of Avenue R South.
Police confirmed the 14-year-old was among a group of armed people trying to break into the home just after 7:30 p.m.
The 14-year-old was injured after a fight broke out. He subsequently was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Nicotine is described as being six feet tall and 200 pounds with brown eyes and short, black hair. He has several tattoos, including large wings and a cross on his neck, a teardrop below his left eye and the word “priceless” above his right eyebrow.
Anyone with information about Nicotine’s whereabouts is asked to call the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
