RCMP confirmed a man and a young boy were killed when their car collided head-on with a truck, west of Prince Albert Monday evening.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene on Highway 3 shortly after 5:30 p.m.
The occupants of the truck, a three-year-old girl, and a 34-year-old woman, were transported to hospital in good and stable condition. According to Parkland Ambulance, both were still in hospital as of Monday night.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, however, RCMP indicated road conditions were not favourable at the time due to ice and blowing snow.
Firefighters from both the Prince Albert and Buckland fire departments also attended the scene. Traffic was re-routed for roughly 30 minutes.
The ages of the deceased will not be released until next of kin are notified.
