Buena Vista home sees extensive damage following Saturday fire

A blaze at a home in Buena Vista has caused extensive damage, according to the Saskatoon Fire Department.

Around 7 p.m. Saturday, reports of a fire in a house on the 100 block of 8th Street East were called in.

The first fire crews arrived in less than four minutes, with a search for occupants discovering the fires location in a second-floor bedroom.

All occupants exited without injury, no firefighters were hurt in the battle.

It took around 30 minutes to bring the fire under control, resulting in extensive damage on its second and third floors.

The fire was entirely extinguished by 10:47 p.m.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation with damages estimated at $150,000.
