A 53-year-old Saskatoon man is facing weapons-related charges after he was found with a meat cleaver, a hatchet and two knives in his possession.
In a media release, the Saskatoon Police Service said officers responded Wednesday at about 2 a.m., to a call about a suspicious man with a flashlight checking out a house in the 200 block of Avenue V North.
When officers arrived, they found a man inside a detached garage. He was arrested without incident, but that’s when officers found he was concealing a meat cleaver. Two knives and a hatchet were found in his backpack.
The man was arrested on outstanding warrants and charged with two weapons-related offences.
