Saskatoon fire crews were busy this morning after a vehicle fire spread to nearby grassland.
In a release, the Saskatoon Fire Department says it received a 911 call around 9:45 Monday morning about a vehicle on fire at the entrance to Cathedral Bluffs.
The first arriving fire crews found an SUV fully involved in fire that was spreading onto the adjacent grassland. Several hose lines were used to tackle both the vehicle and grassland simultaneously, quickly bringing the fire under control.
The fire department says after the blaze was put out, the matter was turned over to the RCMP for further investigation.
