While Saskatchewan Party leader Scott Moe and Prince Albert Carlton incumbent MLA Joe Hargrave gave their closing statements ahead of Monday’s provincial election in Prince Albert, there was a notable absence from the campaign stop.
Alana Ross, the Sask. Party candidate in the Prince Albert-Northcote race, did not attend the appearance as she is self-isolating after one of her contacts tested positive for COVID-19.
Moe confirmed Ross was self-isolating, and said she is asymptomatic and will get a test.
“What I understand is she has no symptoms. She was in contact, I believe earlier this week, with someone and was contacted through contact tracing. So Alana, out of advice of contact tracers and an abundance of caution like so many across this province are adhering to that public health advice, she is at home. She will be tested and she will be calling constituents from home,” Moe said.
