The Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools (GSCS) says it has been informed by the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) that there has been a positive case of COVID-19 in a person at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic School.
In a release, GSCS says it is working with public health to inform parents and caregivers about the case, and is conducting contact tracing.
It says risk of exposure for anyone not considered a close contact remains low. Classes will continue as usual.
The GSCS reminds everyone that with the increase in positive cases in Saskatoon in recent days that it is important to remain vigilant to follow health measures in place to decrease the risk of COVID-19 entering schools.
The release says to call HealthLine 811 if you have COVID-19 symptoms and to stay at home.
