Saskatoon police are searching for a woman whom they say pointed a gun at a taxi driver early Wednesday morning.
In a release, police say just before 3 a.m., Patrol officers responded to a call in which, while refusing to pay, a taxi fare pointed a gun at the driver in the 100 block of 25th Street West.
The driver fled the vehicle on foot toward the police headquarters building, where he was met by responding officers.
When the officers returned to the vehicle, it was unoccupied but an imitation firearm was located in a bag in the backseat. A canine track did not yield an apprehension or an arrest.
The female suspect is described as about 5-foot-3 with a slim build and shoulder-length dark hair with red streaks. She was last seen wearing blue jeans.
The 25-year-old driver was not hurt.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Saskatoon police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
