"We're going to be in four buildings over the weekend. It's going to be a huge event."
Universal masking has been put in place at all Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) facilities.
In a release sent late in the afternoon Friday, the SHA says all patients, visitors and health care providers are now required to wear a mask at all times within an SHA facility or home, even if they can maintain a two-metre physical distance, visiting outside SHA property or in non-clinical areas. Patients may be granted exemptions to this as directed by their healthcare provider, depending on their personal health situation.
The SHA says these measures have been taken because of an increase in community transmission of COVID-19 cases in Saskatoon.
