The Elk Ridge Resort, which has been for sale since May of this year, has been sold to Routes2SK Inc.
According to a media release, the company has entered an agreement to buy the resort and the deal could be finalized later in October pending court approval.
The Elk Ridge Resort has a 27-hole golf course, an aquatic centre, conference room facilities, and 39 cottages and town homes. The resort lies in the Boreal Forest north of Prince Albert and is a popular destination for wedding receptions, and avid golfers.
“With our strong family and company roots in Saskatchewan, we are excited with the opportunity to make this acquisition,” said majority shareholder of Routes2SK Nevin Anderson in the media release. “We look forward to working closely with the existing team and leadership group, as well the Elk Ridge community, to ensure we maintain and evolve the iconic Saskatchewan Golf Resort.”
Routes2SK is made up of eight members who are born and raised in Saskatchewan who are all located throughout Western Canada. The group consists of President Nevin Anderson, Managing Partner Ryan Danberg, Major Shareholder Dave Bryson along with five silent investors.
As stated in the release, they will be working towards further developments to expand the resort on the property. They are familiar with the property and also have future plans to expand the developing aspect of the resort and will announce them at a later date.
