Three men and a woman face more than 50 charges after fleeing from police early Saturday morning.
In a release, police say at about 1 a.m., members of the Community Mobilization Unit were on patrol when they noticed a vehicle driving erratically in the area of 19th Street West and Avenue X South. They tried to conduct a traffic stop but the vehicle sped off.
A tire deflation device was deployed successfully and the vehicle came to a stop on Circle Drive South, near the 900 block of Saskatchewan Crescent West.
Officers saw three passengers flee from the vehicle. The officers arrested the female driver without incident and found a gun, bear spray and two knives inside the vehicle.
With the help of the Canine Unit, the three male passengers were taken into custody.
The men, ages 20, 30 and 37, and a 31-year-old woman are each charged with four counts of possession of a dangerous weapon, three counts of carrying a concealed weapon, careless use of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a motor vehicle, possession of prohibited firearm with ammunition and possession of a weapon obtained by commission of an offence.
All four were also charged with breaching court conditions and two were arrested on outstanding warrants.
