Saskatoon police and the Saskatoon Fire Department are at VIDO-InterVac on the University of Saskatchewan campus after a suspicious package was delivered to the research centre Tuesday afternoon.
At around 2 p.m., police received a report of a suspicious package that was delivered to a research centre in the 100 block of Veterinary Road.
A tweet by the U of S confirmed it was at VIDO-InterVac.
Earlier this afternoon, @SaskatoonPolice were notified of a suspicious package delivered to VIDOInterVac via campus mail service. Security measures were immediately implemented at the facility with the bldg wing where the package was located cleared of all staff and closed. (1/3)

In a release, police say the Explosive Disposal Unit and Saskatoon Fire Hazmat are responding to investigate the package further.
Traffic restrictions are in place on Veterinary Road, and the public is asked to avoid the area until further notice.
