Saskatoon police say the victim of Saskatoon’s 11th murder of 2020 is 23-year-old Eagleson Thomas.
In a release, police say the Major Crimes Section and the Office of the Chief Coroner positively identified Thomas, whose remains were found in a home in the 400 block of Avenue G South last week.
Police say Thomas was last seen Aug. 14 in Saskatoon.
A missing persons report was made Sept. 10 and the file was immediately followed up on by both the Missing Persons Patrol Constable and detectives with the Missing Person Unit.
On Tuesday, police received information that Thomas may have been injured or dead inside a home in the 400 block of Avenue G South.
With the help of the Guns and Gangs Unit and Forensic Identification Section, investigators found human remains inside.
Police say the file is still under investigation. Anyone with information about Thomas’ actions during the time he was missing is asked to call Saskatoon police at 306-975-8300 and ask to speak to an investigator in the Major Crime Section, or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
