Saskatoon police arrested a 39-year-old man Thursday in connection to a fire last Friday at an apartment building on the 2000 block of 20th Street West.

Police charged him with arson-disregard for human life and breach of a release order.
Firefighters responded to the blaze around 9 p.m. Sept. 11 following several 911 calls.
They rescued one person from a third-floor suite and two people in a below-grade unit.
The extensive damage forced officials to close the building. Only firefighters are allowed inside to retrieve personal items for displaced residents.
The Red Cross assisted six people from four of the apartments 11 occupied suites.
