The Blaine Lake RCMP is searching for two men after they allegedly assaulted and robbed a 79-year-old man after he refused to drive them to Prince Albert.
According to a media release, Monday at 5:30 p.m., the RCMP responded to a call in Blaine Lake of an elderly man who was on the ground in front of a building with injuries from the alleged assault. The victim received treatment from EMS.
The first man was described as having long hair with a heavy build. The second is described as having a slim build and being visibly younger than the first man.
The police said the men stole the elderly man’s cellphone, keys and his grey 2007 Ford F-150 truck. The licence plate of the truck is 167 IUM.
The suspects left with the truck and the police believe they may have headed north on Highway 40. The investigation is still ongoing.
